Overbites

Overbites occur when the upper row of teeth significantly overlaps the lower row. This can cause complications with your oral health, cause gum decease, and even tooth lose.

Damage can happen if the lower teeth make repeated contact with upper gums. If the gums are somehow avoided, damage can happen to the underside of the upper teeth. The bigger the overbite, the bigger the complications can be.

Jaw pain is also common among those with overbites. The irregular placement of teeth increases the likelihood of a speech impediment and chewing issues. Sleep apnea (a disorder where breathing repeatedly starts and stops during sleep) is also much more likely. To treat overbites, we offer Braces and Aligners.
